Morpheus8 at The Chelmer Clinic

Morpheus8,nowinclinic.

Radiofrequency microneedling for scars, laxity and texture, set by a dermatologist for your skin.

Depth and heat are set for each area.

Aesthetic medicine

Morpheus8 pushes fine insulated needles into the skin and releases radiofrequency energy at their tips. The heat lands below the surface, where collagen is made, while the top layer is largely spared. Needle depth and energy are adjusted for each part of the face or body, so the same session can treat a jawline and the thin skin under the eyes differently.

Because the energy is delivered under the surface, it suits deeper Indian skin types better than many surface lasers. It is not risk-free on any skin. Settings are chosen after an examination by Dr Nikita Gupta, and where Morpheus8 is not the right tool for you, she will say so.

Results build as new collagen forms, so a course is usually planned over several sessions spaced weeks apart. Expect redness and some swelling for a few days after each one.

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a radiofrequency microneedling device made by InMode. A handpiece presses a grid of very fine, coated pins into the skin and releases radiofrequency energy from their tips. The heat is delivered below the surface, into the layer where collagen and elastin are made, while the outer skin is largely left intact.

The skin responds to that controlled heat by remodelling. Over the following weeks it lays down new collagen, which firms loose skin, lifts the floor of depressed scars and refines texture. Because the energy goes in underneath, Morpheus8 can reach further than surface treatments such as peels, and with less surface damage than an ablative laser.

What Morpheus8 can treat.

The depth and energy are adjusted for each area, which is why one device covers such a wide range of concerns:

  • Acne scars, particularly rolling and boxcar scars. See our page on acne and acne scars.
  • Early loosening along the jawline, jowls and neck, and a soft double chin.
  • Fine lines and crepey skin, including carefully set treatment under the eyes.
  • Large pores, uneven texture and dull, tired-looking skin.
  • Stretch marks on the abdomen, thighs, hips and arms.
  • Loose skin on the stomach and arms, including after pregnancy or weight loss.

Morpheus8 does not replace surgery. Where the skin has dropped too far for collagen to lift it, Dr Gupta will say so, and a conversation about facial surgery with our plastic surgeon may be the honest next step.

Is Morpheus8 safe for Indian skin?

Deeper skin types carry more melanin, and the main risk with many lasers on Indian skin is pigmentation left behind after treatment. Because Morpheus8 delivers most of its energy below the surface through coated pins, the risk of that pigmentation is lower than with many surface lasers. Published studies in darker skin types, though small, report good improvement with few pigment problems.

Lower is not zero. Settings, depth and spacing between sessions are chosen after a dermatologist has examined your skin, and pre-treatment skin care is sometimes advised for skin prone to marks. This is the main reason the treatment is planned here by Dr Nikita Gupta, an MD dermatologist, rather than run to a standard protocol.

What happens at a Morpheus8 appointment.

Your first visit is a consultation. Dr Gupta looks at your skin, asks about your medical history and medicines, and decides whether Morpheus8 suits you or whether something else would serve you better.

On the treatment day, a numbing cream is applied and left for about an hour. The treatment itself usually takes 20 to 45 minutes for the face, longer if the neck or body is included. Most people describe a sense of heat and prickling, which the numbing cream keeps manageable. You go home the same day.

Recovery, downtime and side effects.

Expect redness and some swelling for two to three days, a little like sunburn, and sometimes a faint grid of pin marks for a few days more. Make-up can usually go back on after a day or two. Most people return to work within a couple of days.

Less common side effects include bruising, small spots, dryness and, in some skin types, temporary darkening. Strict sun protection for the following weeks helps keep that risk down. You will be given written aftercare and a number to call.

Morpheus8 is not advised during pregnancy, with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, over an active skin infection or cold sore, with a history of keloid scarring, or within several months of taking oral medication for severe acne. Tell us about any of these at the consultation.

How many sessions, and how long do results last?

Most people need a course of about three sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Deep acne scars or loose skin on the body can need more. Some improvement in tone and texture shows within a couple of weeks, but the main change builds over about three months after the last session, as new collagen forms.

The collagen made is your own and the improvement lasts, but skin keeps ageing. Many people choose a single maintenance session about once a year.

Morpheus8 is often combined with other treatments. Anti-wrinkle injections and fillers work on muscle and volume, which Morpheus8 does not, and laser toning can address pigmentation alongside.

How much does Morpheus8 cost in Delhi?

The cost depends on the area treated (face, face and neck, or body), how many sessions your skin needs, and whether it is combined with other treatments. A full face costs less than face and neck together, and body areas are priced by size.

We give you a written quote after the consultation, once Dr Gupta has seen your skin and agreed a plan. Be wary of very low per-session prices elsewhere: genuine Morpheus8 tips are single-use, and the setting matters more than the device.

Common questions

Is Morpheus8 safe on Indian skin?

It is generally better suited to deeper skin types than surface lasers, because most of the energy is delivered below the surface. The risk of pigmentation is lower, not zero. Settings are chosen after the dermatologist has examined your skin, and anyone with active infection, certain skin conditions or a tendency to scar badly is assessed carefully first.

Does Morpheus8 hurt?

A numbing cream is applied before treatment and most people describe the sensation as heat and pressure. How much you feel depends on the area and the depth being treated.

How much downtime is there?

Expect redness and some swelling for a few days, sometimes with small marks from the needles. Most people return to normal routines within a few days. Sun protection afterwards is not optional.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what is being treated and how your skin responds, which is what the consultation decides. A course is usually several sessions spaced weeks apart, and results keep building for some months after the last one as collagen forms.

Who performs the treatment?

Morpheus8 at The Chelmer Clinic is planned by Dr Nikita Gupta, an MD dermatologist, who decides whether it is right for you and how it should be set.

Is Morpheus8 permanent?

The collagen Morpheus8 stimulates is your own, so the improvement is long-lasting, but it does not stop ageing. Acne scar improvement tends to hold well. For skin tightening, many people have one maintenance session about once a year to keep pace with natural collagen loss.

How deep does Morpheus8 go?

The depth is adjustable. It is set shallow on thin skin such as under the eyes, deeper on the cheeks and jawline, and deeper still with the body tips used on the stomach and thighs. Dr Gupta chooses the depth for each area at every session.

Is Morpheus8 better than ordinary microneedling?

They do different jobs. Ordinary microneedling makes tiny channels in the skin to trigger repair. Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency heat at the needle tips, which reaches deeper and tightens as well as resurfaces. For deeper scars and loose skin, RF microneedling usually does more per session.

Can Morpheus8 treat a double chin and jowls?

It can improve mild to moderate softness under the chin and along the jaw by tightening the skin and remodelling a little of the fat beneath. It will not lift heavy jowls or remove a large amount of fat. In those cases, a surgical opinion is more useful.

Where can I get Morpheus8 near me in West Delhi?

Treatments available

Acne scars
Rolling and boxcar acne scars soften as the needles break up scar tissue and the heat drives new collagen beneath them. Often combined with other scar treatments and staged over months.
Skin tightening for the face and neck
Mild to moderate laxity along the jawline, jowls and neck is firmed without surgery. Where the sagging is beyond what a device can lift, a surgical opinion is the honest next step.
Fine lines and wrinkles
Lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead are smoothed as the skin thickens and regains firmness. Pairs well with injectables, which work on muscle movement rather than the skin itself.
Texture and large pores
Uneven, rough or porous skin is resurfaced from below, giving a smoother finish with less downtime than an aggressive surface laser.
Stretch marks
Stretch marks on the abdomen, thighs and arms are improved with longer body tips set to reach deeper. They fade and flatten rather than disappear.
Body contouring
Loose skin on the abdomen, arms and knees, including after weight loss or pregnancy, is tightened with the deeper body settings.
